Q: Why don’t we make an all-in-one supplement for dogs?
A: Over the years, dog lovers have been asking why we don’t make an all-in-one supplement for dogs similar to other companies. Here is my answer.
The main reason we have not combined our FAB4 supplements into one, is that mixing vitamins, minerals, Omega-3, and probiotics would threaten their quality and stability.
Any Omega-3 will oxidize quickly when exposed to air, and that is why we package our Omega-3 oil separately and fill up the “small air space” in the bottle with nitrogen to preserve freshness and prevent oxidation.
Mixing probiotics into the other essential supplements would greatly decrease their quality and stability. Packaging probiotics in capsules is extra insurance that your dog will receive the potency and proportions of probiotic bacteria that are optimal for their health.
When it comes to minerals and vitamins, they could theoretically be mixed together and we may do so in the future, but sometimes dogs have different abilities to absorb minerals and vitamins, and doses may need to be individually adjusted based on your dog’s hair mineral test results.
These are the main reasons why we will continue offering the FAB4 separately.
