Fall giving report

Hi Dog Lovers,

It’s wild how fast time flies! The good news is that as time progresses we’ve been able to contribute to more causes on your behalf.

This fall, we chose to support animal rescue organizations in Canada and Costa Rica doing amazing work for dogs. We also donated to an Indonesian reforestation project through B1G1.

Just keep reading to hear how your love and care for your dog helps conservation efforts and dogs in need!

Gala for dogs and their best friends

(organized by Whistler Animals Galore - WAG)

For 35 years WAG has been sheltering, adopting, healing and rehabilitating animals in the beautiful resort town of Whistler, British Columbia, Canada and we are thrilled to have been a financial sponsor for their 15th annual WAG K9 Wine & Dine Fundraising Gala and we also donated our all-natural essential supplements to their silent auction.

You are reading correctly. A gala event for dogs! One hundred and fifty dogs accompanied 240 people and everyone was served a gourmet menu, created by local chefs. The dogs had a three-course meal, including a Biscotti di Pemberton con Pancetta made with apples, carrots and bacon for dessert. (It was a special treat, right?!)

Here are a few more red carpet photos of dogs from the event for you to see how much fun it was. Perhaps they may inspire you to organize a dog charity fundraiser in your local community!

Costa Rican dog rescue

The inspiring non-profit, no-kill shelter, El Refugio, was spearheaded by dog lover extraordinaire Kate Barr and couldn't operate without the army of volunteers who run the facility on the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica. El Refugio has created a home for homeless animals and helps place them with foster and adoptive families once they have received proper care. We have donated $1,020 USD to help El Refugio continue to care for animals in need.

We thought you would also enjoy seeing a before and after picture of Charlie who was displaced by the storm and now benefits from our community’s contribution!

B1G1

Health In Harmony engages community-led solutions for human health and the health of the planet.

Today, I’d like to tell you about a unique reforestation program they are running in Indonesia. The organization has so far replanted nearly 40 acres of rainforest after it was destroyed by illegal logging. The amazing part is the locals can donate a variety of seedlings in exchange for medical care and so far the system has worked very well.

Through B1G1, we have contributed $1,104 USD to this cause on your behalf!

And that is all for today. Thank you to those of you, who have purchased our products and made this giving possible. And if you have not been able to try out our five-star rated natural supplements and products for dogs, click here to learn more.

With gratitude,
