Politics has a tendency to divide people, but dogs bring us together.
With that in mind, I want to reaffirm something important:
Our community is for all dog lovers and our wonderful dogs.
I love that our dogs don’t care about politics.
They care if we take them for walks. They care if we feed them nourishing treats and food. They care if they are happy, disease and pain-free.
They also care if we are present, loving, kind and drama-free.
In a time when political arguments are everywhere, I want our community to be a place where you can relax.
A sanctuary where we live by our dogs’ rules of enjoying life and spending time with our loved ones.
From day one, this community has been dedicated to the well-being of dogs and their humans.
That mission hasn’t changed, and it won’t.
You won’t find political debates here. You won’t be asked to pick sides or defend your beliefs.
What you will find is respect, kindness, curiosity, and a shared love for the beautiful, silly, and fun creatures we love so much!
Politics has a way of creating stress and division. Personally, I think it was invented by a bunch of monkeys fighting for bananas, and somehow, it was passed on to humans.
Winning or being right may seem like a good idea for a while, but eventually, it leaves us feeling much worse than if we got along.
As someone who has always been interested in health and well-being, I know how important it is to reduce stress for both humans and dogs.
When we argue and create tension, our nervous systems go into fight-or-flight mode. When we feel anger, the underlying emotions are fear and frustration.
Our dogs, who tune into us so well, feel that tension, too.
Dogs are masters of forgiveness. They don’t hold grudges. They might argue over a toy or a bone but never over opinions. They truly live in the moment.
And I believe we have a lot to learn from them.
So, I’ve made a commitment: from now until 2027 (or longer), I will not engage in political conversations online and rarely with my family or close circle of friends.
I know I have the option to get involved in politics, but that would take away from my main purpose of helping you and your beloved dogs to stay healthy and be happy.
That is where I can be the most useful and what makes me happy.
Let’s create a safe, supportive environment together rooted in care and connection and hope it will spread.
Dogs don’t care about politics.
They care about love, safety, and play.
Let’s follow their lead.
