Wondering what is missing in your dog's diet?

    By Dr. Peter Dobias, DVM

Dr. Peter Dobias, DVM has 30 years of experience as a veterinarian. His love of dogs and passion for natural healing and nutrition led him to writing, teaching and helping people create health naturally, without drugs, chemicals and processed food.

Today, I realized that no matter what I do, even if I spend my whole day answering your questions on Facebook, the blog or e-mail, I can never answer them all. I feel torn because I can see how many of you, especially the new members of our community, need help with your dog's problems and how challenging it is to find the answers.

It is really heartbreaking to hear the stories of medical problems that are often caused by excessive use of vaccination, drugs and processed food. In fact, if these three factors didn't exist and we applied the following basic three principles of holistic healing, I believe that most dogs would rarely need veterinary intervention:

    1. Real Natural Food (not kibble)
    2. Minimal vaccination (sometimes that means none) and
    3. Giving essential supplements

Many people are not aware that this is happening

The other day, I looked through the HairQ test forms and I was really surprised by how many dogs do not get supplements. This prompted me to have a discussion with two of my friends, who are human naturopaths, and they confirmed that they see a huge difference between the people who take and do not take supplements.

I am not saying that one should blindly believe me when I say that even the most natural food is no longer enough. Ten years ago, I was not aware of this problem either. It became clearer as I saw dogs recovering from problems and being much healthier while getting additional nutrients.

Some of you have watched my videos of Skai and are surprised at how well he did in his senior years. To be honest I felt the same. Yes, he was older, but he was happy and still enjoyed his life; running, playing and smiling! But Skai is not the only one. Just read the reviews of GreenMin and SoulFood to get a sense of what is going on.

In contrast, It is so hard for me to see dogs that are not that old, barely moving. I feel like crying because I know that they could be better. In some way, I had to build a resistance to some people's opinions that "I push supplements" just to make money. These comments do not upset me anymore because I sense that most people know that I love what I do and I do it because I appreciate dogs very much. I also do not like hearing sad stories about dogs that could have been prevented.

    A full refund guarantee!

When I feel down about how many preventable problems dogs suffer from, I try to find some sort of outlet to make things better and here is my proposal.

If you purchases a HairQ test and your dog's test comes back with no deficiencies and normal levels of toxins, we will give you a full refund for the test. (This offer is available for first-time buyers of HairQ test).
