2 pounds extra-lean ground beef
2 cups cooked quinoa
2 large cloves of garlic minced or crushed
2 tablespoons tamari
Mix and spread thinly on parchment paper
Dehydrate in a dehydrator or oven - I dehydrate at 170F - It takes about 24 hours.
Break up into pieces and store in the fridge for use in the next few weeks or in the freezer for longer storage.
Garlic is safe for dogs in small quantities (1/3 tsp per 10lbs of body weight). Garlic can interact with certain medications, and should not be used for two weeks prior to scheduled surgeries. If you are unsure whether garlic is safe for your dog, please speak with your treating veterinarian.
As this is a recipe for treats, not a meal, the amount of tamari and quinoa in this recipe is a small amount for most dogs and is fine to feed.
